i hope all you mamas or caretakers out there had a wonderful Mother’s day weekend. yesterday at church we celebrated so many beautiful moments. the lady next to me kept handing me tissue after tissue (she later came up to me and said she cries at every service too). the takeaway from yesterday was not just about Mother’s but about the bigger picture. it got me thinking of one of my favorite people, and speakers Momastery. I have been following Glennon for years, but this post last week that a dear friend sent to me was one of the absolute best. for those of you at work right now don’t read this. you will be doing the ugly cry at your desk so save for a later time. she speaks about her mother and how she taught her that “what matters is love, and that love is relentlessly showing up for your people.” it got me thinking of my own mom and how she does just that day in and day out. and how my friends whom are all mothers, and will be lucky enough to be mothers one day…. that all that matters is the love. that’s it. just show up and do your best and that’s all you can do. thank you Glennon for being so courageous all the time, and just showing up. x
